Ordering FAQ

Towards the end of the order process you will be asked to enter your promo code and update your order. This will apply any relevant discount.

You need to order both web hosting and a domain name (if you do not already own one). The domain name (e.g. openhost.co.nz) points visitors to your web hosting which enables you to upload your files, setup email and various other services.

We accept credit card, bank deposit and cheque payment.

We setup accounts 7-days a week between 8:30am and 5:30pm.

If paying by credit card your account will be ready usually within one hour. Outside of business hours you will be setup the following business day. If paying by bank deposit or cheque your account will not be setup until payment is cleared.

We offer a 14 day money back period where we can refund all your hosting fees, no questions asked. However, please note domain name registration fees cannot be refunded, so please choose carefully. If you pay for a year and cancel early, we refund any unused fees, less any discounts that have been applied for pre-payment.

Yes, orders are placed via HTTPS and credit cards processed via DPS (the same company that processes credit cards for companies like Trademe).

You do! OpenHost is an authorized .nz registrar, this means we are held to very strict rules and policies ensuring your domain name is safe with us. All domains are registered in our customers names and can be transferred to other registrars if requested.
